Well.... it has been a very long time since I last posted. My xanga account ran out and I haven't been able to put pictures up, as my storage limit has been reached. I just got lazy and didn't post since I couldn't put pictures up. Josh figured out a way to put pictures on. Thank you Josh!! It is a little bit complicated, so we will see how this goes.
We have had nice summer. We haven't scheduled anything but piano lessons and a week of VBS, so it has been nice and relaxing. The kids have been having fun doing Lazy Days with Grandmama one day a week. They look forward to it! Today, the kids and I went to see my mom and Stephen. Stephen has been gone for a couple weeks and is leaving Sunday to visit Bec and the Kris for another week, so we were looking forward to seeing him again! We had a lot of fun visiting with them. The kids think Uncle Stephen is SO much fun!!
Abby let Joshua pick out her clothes today and he chose all blue. I thought it was cute and got a picture of them together. Abby has started wearing necklaces, bracelets and hair "things" a whole lot more lately. She is growing up!
Just a funny from Sarah- We have been going swimming at the pool almost every day this summer and one of her bathing suits is a two piece that someone gave her. I am not sure of the whole context of the conversation she and Abby were having, as I only overheard part of it, but she was calling it her zucchini instead of her bikini.
She is always coming up with funny things to say. There are several more she has said lately that I will have to post if I can remember them. I don't remember Joshua and Abby even coming up with half of the mixups in coversation that she does. She is always keeping us smiling about something.

We woke up this morning to snow and by the time we got home from church we had about 4 inches. Joshua played in the snow a little before church and we had a lot of fun playing in the snow when we got home. When we were visiting Josh's parents in PA at Thanksgiving, we bought a sled and brought it back with us "just in case." We were excited the kids actually got to use it!! They also had fun with a skateboard without wheels that someone had left in the grass. Here are a few pictures from today.

Starwish also loved the snow. She was not happy when I finally took her back inside. She sat at the door or window and whined. Josh made her snowballs and she would carry them around until she ate them. She brought the last one in with her and enjoyed it.

Yesterday, we drove over to GA and visited with my Grandmother who lives in a retirement home over there. It was so good to see her again. She is amazing- she gets around so well and we all loved visiting with her!

We have some friends who gave us some tickets to the zoo, so on Dec. 30th, I took the kids. It was a beautiful day- in the upper 60's and sunny. A lot of the animals were out and about- they must have been enjoying the weather also. We always love going to the zoo, so we had a great time!

I had a wonderful birthday on Dec. 27th. Josh watched the kids and let me spend the day with my mom and sister. They took me to lunch- we ate at the California Pizza Kitchen and it was great! We then went shopping some and then my mom and I went to the hospital to visit with my Uncle who was there. It was just a very fun special time with them. I sure wish Bec was closer so that we could get together more often. We were saying we sure missed having Angie with us while we were out. I can't wait until we can all get together again! Josh also cooked a WONDERFUL meal for me. He grilled out some vegi's and potatoes and made a homemade chocolate cake. It was very good! Thank y'all so much for a wonderful birthday!

We met Dad, Mom and Stephen down in Clanton for their annual Christmas parade. It has become a very fun Christmas tradition for us.
We went down to Dad and Mom's after our church's Christmas Eve service for our traditional spaghetti dinner and time of carols and memories. Fun, special time.
Christmas morning we read the Christmas story from Luke 2 and then opened our gifts.
Starwish joined us for the Bible reading The kids looking for the pickle.
We went back down to Dad and Mom's and had a great afternoon being together. We sure missed being with Bryan, Angie, Charlie and Samuel though. We got a video chat set up and we were able to talk with them and see them. Charlie was so cute and was showing us his gifts. We saw baby Samuel, it was very neat. I am so thankful for technology!
Bec made us girls some REALLY cute aprons!
Dad got a picture of his dad, Noah, on a tractor and held Noah and said "here are the two Noah's and their tractors".

Merry Christmas everyone! I don't know where time has gone-seems like it should still be October when I last posted. We have been doing well... staying busy since then. I wish I could go back and post about all the fun times we have had in October and November but should probably just stick with December. I will try to give a quick recap.....
Joshua had his 3rd grade program at school and it was very cute.....
Abby and Sarah had their choir program at church.....
Abby had her ballet party.....
Josh's parents came on the 11th and we had a great time with them. We stayed busy though! We cut our tree down on Saturday while they were here. We got a small one this year and the kids were THRILLED they could carry it.

They loved riding the pony!
Josh got the lights on the tree and the kids had fun decorating it.....
The kids had their Christmas piano recital at a local retirement home....
It was Sarah's first piano recital and she did great!
I enjoyed going to all the kids school Christmas parties last week....
Some friends of ours gave us some tickets to ride on a local train that was doing a Santa train ride. We had been trying to go but the kids had been sick and it wasn't working out. Sunday was the last day so we went and rode it. The kids had a good time, though Joshua and Abby still weren't feeling great.
I think I will close out this post as my "quick" update is getting rather long.
I will finish up with my next post(hopefully it will follow sooner rather than later).

Abby's class went on a field trip to the American Village. I was able to ride the bus with them and really enjoyed being with Abby on the field trip.
Abby was practicing her curtsey.

Abby and her friends were guarding Lexington and were trying to keep the "red coats" from getting through them to invade Concord. ( I think I have my facts right.)
I went with Joshua last year and was really looking forward to it this year. It is a very hands on field trip and I think the kids will remember it longer because they enacted most of the history they learned instead of it being read to them etc... Very neat! -

Another highlight for our family has been going to Stephen's football games. They have them on Friday nights and we have made it our Friday night fun time (unless they have an away game). The kids LOVE going and are so excited. The first game or two they would get so excited when Stephen was on the sidelines and took his helmet off- "Look, Uncle Stephen has his hat off. I can see him."
Stephen has done great. He is the kicker for the team and kicks it quite far and last week he made two touchdowns. Here are some pics I have taken from some of the different games we have attended. He is number 25.Joshua was SO proud to have his picture with Uncle Stephen after the game.

Abby got to do a cheer with the cheerleaders last week and thought it was so much fun. The girls love to watch them.
Hope your game goes well tonight Stephen! Sorry we will miss it!
